We listen, act, and transform
I am a licensed psychologist, located in San Francisco Bay Area, CA. I graduated with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Biola University in La Mirada, California. In addition to my private practice, I am currently a supervising clinician at RAMS, inc., a community mental health clinic in San Francisco, CA. Previously, I worked as a senior supervising psychologist at UC Berkeley and UC Davis student health centers.
Over the years, I have come to understand and practice psychotherapy as a collaborative process between two entities to achieve wellness in life. While tracing the impact of past experiences and relationships, I look for patterns and themes with my clients. Together, we work to understand and clarify how these patterns and themes influence current experiences, decisions, and emotions. This involves cultivating an openness to notice, question, and relinquish presumptions about oneself, others, and the world at large. The intention is to foster my client’s ability to relate with self and others, feel authentically known and accepted, and balance the demands of life with greater freedom.
I primarily work with adults, including individuals and couples, and appreciate working with people of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, and faith. I am experienced working with a wide range of concerns and have interests in issues of mood disorders (i.e., depression, anxiety, bi-polar), children of immigrants, childhood traumas, relationship difficulties, feeling stuck in professional or personal life, and intergenerational trauma.
